I am a social psychologist working in a discursive tradition. My main research interests are in national identity, local identity, diaspora and transnationalism.
In 2010, I completed my PhD thesis on the topic of discourses of Irish authenticity and national identity in England, which is available at http://oro.open.ac.uk/25474/. I was the winner of the 2011 Nations and Nationalism / Dominique Jacquin-Berdal essay prize.
