About
I joined the Law School at the University of Leicester as a Lecturer in September 2009. Before coming to Leicester I taught, first as a tutor and then as a Lecturer, in the Law School at the National University of Ireland in Galway from 2004 to 2008. My research interests lie in the areas of Public Law, in the broadest sense, and Legal Theory/Jurisprudence; I have also researched and published on the impact of globalisation on law and human rights. I hold degrees from Trinity College, Dublin (LL.B.) and the National University of Ireland (LL.M. & Ph.D.). I am currently working on two large projects; one a monograph length assessment of the impact and implications of globalisation on human rights, and the other a much larger project seeking to re-imagine radical egalitarian critiques of law, and draw out their implications for our era.
