About
Paula Warrington studies the representation of mental processes in literary and philosophical texts and in Modern English idiom and scientific discourse. Her interests include the history of mnemonic technique, the effects of literacy (and other historical and cultural factors) on communication and thought, and the ubiquity of conceptual metaphor in idiomatic colloquial language. Paula earned her Ph.D. from the University of Leicester in 2005 and also holds an M.A. in English Literature and Literary Research and a B.A. (Hons.) in English. She has has taught courses on early English literature and the history of the language in both the UK and the US.
